I don't know how I feel about this video. I have a lot of mixed feelings - I think it makes a lot of really solid, true statements and a lot that just aren't Biblical. Like it sounds good, but when you get to the nitty gritty, it leaves a bad taste lagging behind. I read a great article @ thegospelcoalition.org that you might enjoy!
Hollie, Love your thoughts and thanks for commenting! I think we are in agreement, but overall I thought this video brought a good general overview of some misconceptions that some people believe. Having taken over a year of a break from 'big church' (having committed to a house church in our neighborhood), it is refreshing to experience a real, life-changing faith in Jesus, not one that is driven from rules or expectation from even the institutionalized evangelical church.
I'm a self-deprecating lifestyle blogger wanting an audience. Professionally trained chef; domestically trying to stay in budget. Mom of an estrogen train, lucky wife to a hard-working corporate slave. I usually learn lessons the hard way and prefer to share my failed attempts with the world. Welcome.
