Dang Expensive, But So Worth It!

And as I turned the corner, my heart skipped a beat and I heard the angels in heaven singing "The Hallelujah Chorus."

Central Market?!?!?!?! That's my favorite part of Texas. Makes every trip to Dallas a little bit better!

The leaves are changing colors here and the temp hasn't been above 60 in a while now. I've been celebrating by making apple crisp every week :) It makes a great breakfast treat!

Love honey crisp!! We just got a gas fireplace for our lower level. I'm spending time down there with a good cup of coffee.

Um, gotta argue and say NOT worth it! $10 for 4 apples is more than what Eve paid for hers!

So, so ready for Fall. Alas it's suppose to be 102 today. I have a french apple cake recipe I want to try this weekend. (I'll use some less expensive green apples though)

We devour these apples like they will be gone tomorrow. I justify the price of them by reminding myself that it is the one fruit in the house that I know will NOT spoil before it's eaten.
I will say though, that I do pay a lot less than you guys in the States do at the commissary on base.
